The McLeod Medical Center expansion included a new Emergency Department designed to enhance medical service capabilities. This addition encompasses emergency patient rooms, waiting areas, an ambulance canopy, staff areas, procedural rooms, and a lab. The layout and facilities are tailored to streamline operations and improve the care environment for both patients and medical staff.

Electrical systems for this new addition are comprehensive, ensuring high operational standards and safety. These include a new electrical distribution system and emergency power distribution system, robust lighting and dimming systems, as well as critical communication and security systems- fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and nurse call systems. Additionally, the department is equipped with voice and data cabling, an emergency generator, and automatic transfer switches to maintain functionality during power outages.
