Wofford College’s Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to sports, wellness, and recreation. This venue is designed to support Wofford’s athletic programs and also to facilitate intramural and recreational sports. The stadium includes a 3,400-seat basketball arena, a 350-seat volleyball competition venue, an indoor track, strength and conditioning facilities, and a sports medicine and rehabilitation center. It is versatile enough to host a range of activities, including basketball, volleyball, indoor track and field, and events such as concerts. The design and infrastructure of the stadium aim to provide world-class facilities for both competitive and recreational use.
Electrical systems in the stadium are designed to support a wide array of events and activities. These systems include 3000-amp power distribution and a 400 KW emergency generator that ensures uninterrupted power supply, as well as advanced sound and lighting systems to enhance the venue’s capability to host high-quality audiovisual performances. This includes LED lighting, MUSCO sports lighting, and dimming systems, as well as exterior building and color-changing tower lighting.
